Scouting - Entry 3, Aug ‘25

I’ve landed in Iceland! I can’t quite believe I’m here honestly. It feels almost wrong to be pursuing this. There were many a raised eyebrow at my announcing I was off to Iceland to see if this project would be possible.

Now, I’m currently sitting in an old biscuit factory, now a hostel, after sleeping in a room of 50+ people. Thankfully though, there is a respect among travellers to do everything as quietly as possible, though you do always get one asshole.

I have my map out in front of me, planning my scouting route.

So far, it reads at three quarters of the islamd from Reykjavik to Raufarhöfn.

Today, 10th August - Rejkyavik (misspelled this so many times!)

11th August - Reykjavik. Meeting with a cinematographer at 3pm.
Drive to Midgard Base Camp via Kerio.

12th August - Black Sand Beach, Puffins, Skoolbus, Reynisfjara Beach, Camping.

Side Note:
I have a feeling I will need to buy a rain jacket! I have just come from 36C heat with a small suitcase. I am not prepared. Reykjavik shops - here I come!

13th August - Diamond Beach, Johulsarfen Glacier, Stofnes

14th August - East Iceland?

15th August - The Artic Henge

16th August - North & NW Iceland

17th August - Back to Reykjavik via Thingrellis Snorkeling, Silfra.

18th to 20th August - Reykjavik.

21st August - 17:05 Flight to Toronto.
